Telefunken developed a series of special tubes with long lifespans and several special features for commercial purposes, e.g., for the German Federal Post Office and broadcasting companies. These are the EF800, EF802, EF804, and EF804S.
The EF804S, unlike the EF804, is designed for a long lifespan and comes with a corresponding operating-hour guarantee.
